It is very common for a person to have a chipped tooth; it happens most frequently when we bite into something harder than the enamel on our teeth. Not only can a chipped tooth possibly affect our appearance, left untreated a chipped tooth can lead to future problems with the underlying root. One excellent fix for a chipped tooth is a dental veneer.

A dental veneer is a thin, all-ceramic shell, custom-made to fit over your discolored or chipped tooth. They have brilliant luminous properties and look just like your natural teeth. They are completely metal-free and completely safe.

The veneer is a thin layer (approx. 0.5mm thick) made to fit over the front surface of the tooth, covered by the lips.

The reason for using veneers can be excessive discolouration, chip, inappropriate shape or axial position, or a big gap between teeth.

Veneers make teeth look beautiful, even, healthy. Their colour can be matched exactly to the coloration of the patient's natural teeth. The effect is permanent, the restoration does not discolour.
